My Story

Choices and Decisions

Every day, we are faced with a million choices and decisions. What to eat is one of the most important decisions we make each day. The saying, “You are what you eat” really is true.

It’s not easy to put healthy eating at the top of your priorities. Everywhere you look, there are temptations.

If you had a simple and easy way to plan and prepare nutritious and delicious healthy meals, would you do it?

Of course, you would! As long as it was easy and delicious.

HELP! My Clothes Don’t Fit!

As a brand new mom, I came home from the hospital happy and ready to take care of my new family. I grabbed a cute outfit from my closet and was horrified when it DID NOT FIT! In fact, nothing in my closet came close to fitting.

How did this happen? I was so confused. I thought the baby weight would go away after I gave birth.

It did not.

I gained 55 pounds during my first pregnancy, and I was still carrying that weight around. I never thought I would need to lose so much weight.

Simple, Healthy, and Delicious Food Exists

Between juggling my return to work, a new baby, and having no family around, I needed to find a simple and easy solution. I didn’t want a quick fix. I wanted a lasting solution. I wanted to find the best healthy way to lose weight.

I began researching and dove deep into the idea of clean eating. I was working in the fitness-bodybuilding industry, traveling, and meeting athletes and bodybuilders. I started asking questions about their meals and learned how they stay so fit and lean.

I began creating my own recipes and kept a binder of meal plans. I realized that in order to track my calories and food intake, I had to eat only what I cooked.

I blocked out Sunday afternoon to prepare the coming week’s meals. That wasn’t easy to do with an infant in the house! But, I realized that having my food ready for the week was the best thing. It made life much easier.

My husband, Jon, joined me in eating healthy and we both lost the baby weight little by little. Ha ha… yes, men gain weight too during pregnancies!

It took me 6 months to master my nutrition plan. I ate clean food such as fruit, lots of vegetables, lean meat, fish and healthy homemade juices. I felt so good, had more energy, and was ready to step up my game. Some of my clothes started to fit again, but I still had plenty to lose.

Moving and Shaking

Next up was going back to a regular workout routine. Earlier in my life, I was an Israeli Defense Forces soldier and instructor.  I knew I had to incorporate exercise back into my normal routine, but how? Life was different now.

We hired a babysitter and started exercising twice a week but that quickly turned into every day. It felt so good!  Any time I had during the day, I would do a quick run, take the baby for a walk, or go to the gym during my lunch break.

I started to see results. I felt like myself again.

When my baby was 10 months old, I had actually lost 65 pounds! I did it!

It was never easy because I was just learning how to take care of my body properly and use food as nutrition and fuel. I made a commitment to myself and I stuck with it.

Maintenance Time

I gave birth to three beautiful babies over the next 4 years AND managed to keep a healthy lifestyle with my weight loss maintained.

My children are now 2, 4 and 6 years old. I am so happy that every day I am setting a good example for them to choose healthy eating habits and to move their bodies. As a family, we are living a healthy lifestyle.

I am now a nutrition coach certified by Precision Nutrition©, one of the most respected organizations in my field. I was always passionate about fitness and a healthy lifestyle, but through my journey, I realized how much I had to learn. Now, I want to share my knowledge and expertise with you.

I create simple and easy recipes and meal plans that are nutritious and delicious. You don’t have to do any research or guessing, just live your best healthy life! I aim to empower women and men with the tools and resources to live a healthy lifestyle.

You can do it! I’m right here to help and cheer you on!
